I write today with an important update regarding our Building the Future Capital Campaign, which will enhance the education experience of SPN students through exciting infrastructural improvements throughout the school.
To date, we have received $710,000 in pledges — bringing us to more than 70% of our original $1 million goal. Illustrative of our strong SPN community, many school families immediately stepped up in 2014 to make a three-year pledge to this endeavor. In addition, many of our generous parishioners without children at SPN school have pledged their support for our children’s educational journey. Thank you!
I would also like to thank all those volunteers who have worked tirelessly on this campaign since inception. Last summer, we successfully completed phase one of the project where we made extensive electrical upgrades to the school, air conditioned the classrooms and provided much better Wi-Fi access to fuel in-class technologies. We are now moving on to phase two of the project where we will transform the existing art area into a music room, science lab and art room. We will also incorporate a technology center within our library. We are grateful to Chris Condon, SPN parishioner and parent, who has volunteered to take on the role of leading these construction efforts. We will be securing bids shortly and expect construction to be completed during the summer months in order to be ready for back to school in September 2015.
Maybe you never got around to finalizing your pledge? It is not too late to make a commitment to this campaign.
Please join those who are part of this important upgrade to Saint Philip Neri School. We have a convenient electronic pledge system where donors can make a one-time payment or spread your donation into manageable monthly, quarterly or annual installments (ending 6/30/17) by using their debit card, credit card or direct withdrawal from checking/savings. Or if you prefer, you can arrange for a donation by stopping in our church office. We are inching closer and closer — and every gift helps. We need your support to get us to the goal, so please visit the church office or visit our Capital Campaign webpage at www.spnschool.org/capital-campaign-2/ and pledge today.
I know that I can count on you to prayerfully consider your level of participation in this important campaign. May God bless you.
